About Us

Established in 2002, Lucion Environmental has grown to become the UK's market leader in asbestos testing, inspection, and consultancy services. Operating Europe's largest asbestos testing laboratory with SEM capabilities, our services are delivered with both quality and pace, mitigating potential delays to your project.

We operate as an independent company with no links to Licensed Asbestos Removals Contractors. The means your asbestos survey reports and analysis are impartial and give you transparency about your current risks.

Asbestos Surveying

UKAS ISO 17020 accredited asbestos management, refurbishmentdemolition, and re-inspection surveys in-line with HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidance

Asbestos Remediation Management

Project management of asbestos remediation works in-line with HGS 247 and CAR 2012

Air Monitoring

UKAS ISO 17025 accredited air monitoring and clearance testing in-line with HSG 248 guidance

Asbestos Consultancy

Asbestos consultancy, advice and guidance as per HSG 277 for corporate policy and procedure development, asbestos management plans, gap analysis and compliance audits

Asbestos Testing

UKAS ISO 17025 accredited testing bulk analysis of asbestos-containing materials in-line with HSG 248 guidance

Asbestos Training

As part of the Lucion Services group, our in-house training division, Lucion Consulting is a UKATA approved trainer who provide asbestos training solutions for clients across multiple sectors

Our Capabilities

Our UKAS ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations for asbestos inspection, testing and analysis demonstrates that our services are delivered to the highest standards and that both internal and external quality assurance measures are applied to all services delivered, with regulatory body auditors monitoring performance for ongoing performance and quality control.

Unlike other consultancies, we have Priority Risk Assessments and Re-inspections within the scope of our ISO 17020 accreditation, and Scanning Electron Microscopy analysis within the scope of our ISO 17025 accreditation; this means Lucion offers a more specialised service to clients which provides greater risk analysis and management capabilities. As in-house services this also means that quality control and delivery is managed internally, rather than sub-contracting services to 3rd parties who may have their own workloads and priorities.

We have held our UKAS accreditations continuously since 2002 demonstrating our continued independence and impartiality. Through our independence we can critically assess existing procedures to identify issues and work to achieve targeted compliance levels.

Our level of experience and expertise in asbestos regulations, HSE guidance and approved codes of practice makes us an invaluable supply chain partner for consultation between our clients and regulatory bodies. We hold memberships to regulatory bodies, including the Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association (ATaC) where we receive communications regarding consultation and changes to UK regulations on a regular basis.
