We are proud to announce that after a competitive process, Lucion Environmental, has been awarded a place on Lot 1 Asbestos Analytical Services of the Professional Consultancy Services Framework with Hertfordshire County Council.

The Framework includes the provision of asbestos surveys, bulk sampling and analysis, air monitoring and supervision, general asbestos-related advice and asbestos removal project management services.

Following the confirmation of our place on the Framework, we have now mobilised internally and are prepared to deliver expert and high standard asbestos surveying and analytical services to local clients who choose to access our services through the framework.

The Hertfordshire County Council Framework is open to use by all District and Borough Councils within Hertfordshire, namely:

Dacorum Borough Council
Watford Borough Council
St Albans City and District Council
North Hertfordshire District Council
Hertsmere Borough Council
Borough of Broxbourne
East Herts Council

The new framework is a great opportunity for Lucion to begin working with the Council and other local authorities and provide surveying and analytical services to support the council’s compliance and project workstreams across their corporate portfolio, utilising our experience and expertise of working with local authorities across the UK.

Who is Hertfordshire County Council?

Hertfordshire County Council is a local authority in the South of England, bordering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Great London covering over 1,600 kilometres. It has 10 district and borough councils and 125 town, parish and community councils in Hertfordshire.

The county has a population of over 1.1 million residents and has a large number of public and private buildings including nearly 500,000 homes.

What services will Lucion Environmental provide?

Through this framework, we will be providing a range of asbestos management services to the Council, including:

Our offices in Letchworth and Gatwick will be central to servicing the requirement on this framework with more than 40 BOHS qualified asbestos surveyors and analysts dedicated to covering the county.

Our asbestos Inspection and Testing will be supported by our Operational Support and Laboratory Services team based in Gateshead, which includes in excess of 50 administrators who are dedicated to analysing bulk samples, processing survey data, carrying out quality control and annotating site and floor plans.

Our laboratory is the largest UKAS ISO 17025 accredited asbestos testing laboratory in the UK which can process up to 2,000 samples a day and is staffed by over 35 BOHS P401 qualified laboratory analysts. This is an unrivalled capacity and means we can deliver large long term survey schemes as well as large one-off projects simultaneously without straining our site or support resources.

All our services will be delivered through our Nexgen Management System. This is a bespoke management system created for Lucion and will be used by our management, site and laboratory teams for real-time data entry and sharing of information on a 100% digital platform that is accessible from any internet-capable device. NexGen will be used for all project management and administration for streamlined delivery from order receipt, site works, report delivery and invoicing.
